My tips: Double the crust recipe, triple the filling. 9×13 pans don’t work well bc crust separates from the pan at edge and filling goes in the sides and it ends up upside down! Try a baking sheet maybe. Add lemon zest to filling for more flavor.

Confectioners sugar? No salt Confectioners sugar in a dough doesn’t sound correct. Also no salt?

Confectioners’ sugar can definitely be used in a dough and you’re welcome to add a pinch of salt into the dough if you’d like but the way this recipe was written, they did not add it.

Didn’t come out as shown? Hi I did everything the recipe instructed but neither the dough or the topping set or rose properly. I was wandering if there were any suggestions for what may have gone wrong? Thanks so much.

Hmmm. Did you bake the crust for 25 minutes and then take it out of the oven, pour the egg mixture and bake some more? Or make the crust and the filling and pour it on top?

I’ve never seen a recipe that calls for confectioners sugar in a dough. Is this correct? Also I don’t see any salt in the dough either. Is this also correct?
