SLICE OF LIFE BY EILEEN GOLTZ
There is a strange phenomenon that occurs only during the week of Pesach. It's called the lasagna/pizza syndrome. While not technically an illness, it's more like an unremitting craving for the food you can't have but really, really REALLY want. Not fatal, just unsettling forthose of us who don't like to give up the ooey gooey lusciousness of melted mozzarella on a deep dish crust. This is a once a year "illness" whose symptoms can only be treated, not cured. These quasi recipes are all pretty good and can actually lull you into a false sense of taste satisfaction until the real stuff is once again available.
