There are two feelings about cooking these days. One is being uninspired and uninterested in making anything new. The other is the “now’s the time to make what I’ve never had time to make before!”

While you won’t find me making a sourdough starter anytime soon, I do still have the desire to put in the extra effort to make really nice dishes for my family that will bring a smile to their faces.

That’s exactly the kind of menu I’ve created for you this week. Recipes that are really delicious, quick, easy, and still add excitement and pizzazz to the Shabbat table.

I hope you enjoy this menu as much as I know my family will.

Shabbat Shalom!

Shredded Kani Salmon by Estee Kafra

Kani and salmon: a winning combination! A beautiful presentation that calls for little work and great taste. Our kind of recipe.

Honey Coated Crispy Chicken by Elky Friedman

This recipe is so simple, not even a beginner in the kitchen can mess this one up! And it still tastes great!

Thai Beef Noodles by Elizabeth Kurtz

This dish is really a full meal in one, so even though there may be a few extra steps, your finished product will be a full meal that looks like it came out of a restaurant, and tastes amazing!

Low-Calorie Tomato Salad by Julie Rosen

This quick and easy salad is the perfect light and fresh veggie dish to throw together!

Fudge Cookies by Brynie Greisman

These cookies taste like a brownie but in cookie form and have sprinkles placed exactly in the center. They have a perfect consistency — chewy and crispy at the same time. They also taste great straight from the freezer!
