Trying to figure out if this is a mistake or do you really not flip the steak and cook it on the other side before transferring to the oven?

That said. Till our technofiles work on that end, I would say flip it and let it sear for a minute and half then proceed with the oven. The point is to not overcook it, the flip is totally to get a good crust and sear on it.
