Buried deep in the recipe box, under V, is a recipe for varnishkes. It’s not what everyone else’s mother referred to as varnishkes. Her recipe for that is under S, for seashells and kasha! This is more like a flat dumpling...almost like a flat, heavy matzo ball. Anyone know what else this might be called? It is not a varenike...that’s under K, for kreplach! Thanks!!!
