When I think back on my winter break highlights, most of them include a completely cold-weather trip, specifically ski trips.

I am always thinking along the lines of foods that warm and nourish after days of snow, red cheeks, and achy muscles. There’s something about those foods; it’s not just about sustenance or where you are when you’re eating them. It’s about the ability to curl up with a bowl, slow the pace of life, disconnect for a bit, and nourish your connections.
