I woke up this morning to a text from my friend asking if I have a good recipe for Persian rice with crispy potatoes on the bottom. I sent her a link to our episode of Sunny Side Up featuring Charlene Aminoff’s Tahdig, and since, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the delicious crispy crunch of tahdig and the smell of rosewater.

You’d think it’s a problem for me to be this suggestible when I spend all day looking at food. You know how your cravings become like a little voice in your head saying, “Ooh, you know what would also be good?”

But summer is actually the best time to be this suggestible to food images, because all of the food and drinks I see these days are bursting with color. Salads with grilled fruits, strawberries on skewers, beads of condensation running down the side of a popsicle (check out a recipe for our favorite Strawberry Frosé Pops below) or a chilled drink. Is there anything better than fruit and freshness this time of year? Go ahead and listen to that voice… it’s going to be talking about these recipes below.

Happy Cooking,

Jenna
