What happens if a non-Jewish co-worker inserted a non-kosher K-cup into the office’s Keurig coffee maker? Is it possible to kasher the machine and use it in the future?

A Keurig coffee maker can be kashered through doing hagalah or iruy (pouring boiling water) (for those who kasher plastic). The coffee maker must be cleaned well and not used for 24 hours. Remove K-cup holder and perform hagalah or iruy on K-cup holder.  Run a Kosher for Passover K-cup in the machine (this will kasher the top pin).
