Whether you’re hosting 10 people or 4, this table setting will complement your Autumn gathering.

Keep reading for tips on how to recreate this look. And yes, all about that painter’s drop cloth.

1. Choose one color scheme

Sticking to a monochromatic color palette takes the guesswork out of what to purchase when setting your table and guarantees a cohesive and stylish look. Just be sure to choose decor with different textures and heights to add interest.

2. Use unconventional fabrics for linens

Painter’s drop cloths. They’re durable, neutral-colored, large (perfect for any size table), and CHEAP. They make for great tablecloths, or grab a pair of scissors and make your own matching table runner, place mats or napkins. Drop cloths can be found at all hardware stores or online. Plus, they are easy to wash, and because they are so cheap, they are low commitment. So let those kiddos color or paint all over the tablecloth if they wish!
