The Ultimate Food Fight Roundup

Eight months ago, Mishpacha Magazine and Kosher.com pooled resources and talent to create a fun, interactive and new way to get some of the most creative kosher food minds to step out of their comfort zones in a big way. With an awesome incentive and some delicious secret ingredients, we got ready to launch the first ever in-print and online kosher food competition, Family Table’s Food Fight!

 

The premise was simple. Mishpacha Magazine hand-selected 10 of their top creative talents from their renowned food magazine, Family Table, to compete. Each round would feature one secret ingredient, and each chef would be required to create a brand new recipe highlighting the ingredient in their dish. Readers were encouraged to vote via text or online for their favorite dish. Each round eliminated one chef, until the last chef standing wins a cool $5,000 gift certificate to Town Appliance to outfit the kitchen of their dreams! Once we got to the semifinals, things got serious. Instead of written recipes only, we shot the last three rounds on video, in a high-stakes, past faced fight to the finish.

 

The first episode of filmed Food Fight semifinals, “The Final Four,” will air Wednesday, 7/25, at kosher.com/foodfight. Don’t miss it!
