On the hamster wheel that our lives can sometimes feel like, we’re always looking for ways to streamline our processes. We want to save ourselves chunks of time, and we want every task to be completed as efficiently as possible. While we’re adding to the wish list, we want our systems to last and be virtually unbreakable.

I’m in lala land, I know. But in truth, sometimes this is a reality, and sometimes this knight in shining armor shows up in our kitchens as a simple but effective cooking utensil.

The Kosher Cook’s utensils are colored bright red, blue, and green (also marked Meat, Dairy, and Parve) to help remind even the youngest age child what product to use when, and where it belongs. They are also No Toiveling Necessary (no Mikvah dipping needed since they are made in Jewish-owned factories), so you can use them the minute you bring them home from the supermarket. Oh, that’s another thing – many of their products are sold in your local kosher grocery or supermarket, so they are as accessible as shopping for milk and eggs.

I have had a lot of success with multiple products from The Kosher Cook’s product line – and I want to share some of their high-quality and up-to-date kitchen items with you, because I know you will love them as well.

1. Shabbat-Approved Sponges

Pst. I know you’ve been busy with school shoes and school supplies, but there is a three-day Yom Tov coming soon, and I see a lot of dish-washing coming my way. Load up on these super easy to use brand-new sponges that take the dread out of washing dishes on Shabbat or Yom Tov.

2. Sheet pans

Probably the most used items in my kitchen is my huge stack of sheet pans. Comparing them to disposable sheet pans is like comparing a toothpick to a fork. It might seem like it’s getting the job done, but a heavy-bottomed sheet pan will brown your food in a way that a disposable will not. It will also cook more aggressively, which when you are roasting vegetables, baking chicken, or many other usages, is a very good thing.

Oh, and by the way, since each sheet pan is labeled individually, you can stack them all together and not lose track. Genius!

3. Apple slicer

This is a new product, just in time for Rosh Hashanah. Not only that, it is also back-to-school season, and what is a better after-school snack, or between-remote-classes snack, than apples (with a bit of nut butter, delicious!).

Crazy hack: press this slicer down onto a piece of challah dough, and you have a beautiful pull-apart style challah with zero effort!

4. Utensils

This is a great example of a product that was created for people who actually cook. The way these mixing spoons are designed is so that the weight is on the handle, so if you rest them on the counter you’ll have a lot less of a mess.

5. Knives

Many people have a custom to buy a new knife for Rosh Hashanah. This product makes that very easy – buy a quality European knife you don’t have to tovel! Skipping a step is actually a pretty big deal, now more than ever, when it feels like we spend our days racing the clock!

6. Table crumber

We are about to enter challah season, aka crumbs city. This humble, yet extremely effective crumber is something I use multiple times a day and will always be within arm’s reach in my house.

7. Cookie cutters

I have small children, and nothing keeps them happier for a long stretch of time than sugar cookie dough and cookie cutters. Look for The Kosher Cook’s cookie cutters on the shelves of your supermarket (there’s even a new Rosh Hashanah set) and bless the quiet afternoon!

8. Lighter-

Hot coffee drinkers, are you ready for this? Froth your milk and pour into your coffee. Then, sprinkle on a thin layer of sugar, and “blow torch” it using this bendable lighter. Because it is bendable, it will get close to the sugar and brulé it, resulting in a hard crackly layer on top of your coffee that you won’t be able to get enough of!

These are just a few great products, and just some of the fun and helpful ways to use them. The Kosher Cook is constantly improving the quality and appearance of their useful household products, and I know you will enjoy using them all!
