Shabbat Menu- Cooked in the Crockpot
Much as I hate technology encroaching on my life, it’s just a part of everything now. Still, if I can figure out a way to do it on my terms, I do. To that effect, I recently started a new thing on Whatsapp where I create a separate group for myself and any creative genius I work with. I use that group to forward messages that involve great ideas from our normal running conversations.
Otherwise, rapid-fire brainstorming sessions that come out of nowhere (Michal Frischman, I'm looking at you) end up in the abyss of endless Whatsapp archives that are begging to be deleted for taking up too much room on my phone.
But if I save it from the abyss, it reaches the magazine, or it reaches Kosher.com, and then you all get to enjoy it. This beautiful collection of five ways you can use your crockpot to create a fantastic Shabbat meal came from one of those conversations. Rachel sent me the idea of focusing on crockpots this week, and I couldn't love it more!
