Every parent I know is trying to stay afloat these busy days. Throwing Yom Tov into the mix with school, work, the end of summer, and more, has turned early September into sink-or-swim territory.

We get it. And we know you are likely anticipating lots of busy kitchen days ahead. So, we want to make it easier on you. We are giving you recipes for this Shabbat that are easy enough that they won’t bog you down, yet delicious enough that they might even deserve a spot on your Yom Tov menu.

Happy cooking!

Pastrami Bruschetta by Chana Schapiro

This is just the perfect appetizer to start off a meal. It’s one of the absolute easiest recipes in our repertoire, yet it looks like a gourmet appetizer you might find in a restaurant.

Pistachio-Crusted Honey Mustard Salmon by Rivky Kleiman

For some, it just isn’t Shabbat without a fish dish, but that doesn’t have to mean a lot of extra time in the kitchen. And you’ll get so much delicious flavor and crunch!

London Broil Salad by Esther Ottensoser

Sure, you could serve the London broil as a main dish or the salad without the meat. The combination of everything together, though, makes for an outstanding recipe!

Crispy Potato Wedges and Pecan-Crusted Chicken by Rivky Kleiman

A positively delicious dinner that’s ready in just about an hour—both main course and side dish, ready to go!

Apple Smores Tartlets by Faigy Grossman

These beauties bake in just 15 minutes— and you can use this as a trial run for your Rosh Hashanah menu. How ever will you know if you should make them unless you taste test them first?
