I’m super into getting the kids involved and making them excited about different things in Judaism.

But honestly, sometimes it’s hard to start crafts or kid-friendly baking projects on a Sunday or Friday afternoon. It IS easier to incorporate enthusiasm into something you are anyway doing, hence this rainbow-themed newsletter in time for Parshat Noach.

Go as color crazy or as simple as you’d like, but let’s embrace this excitement together!

Happy Cooking!

They say you should eat the rainbow, and marrying that vibrant purple was the main inspiration in creating this one.

Pesto Roasted Rainbow Vegetables by Erin Grunstein

Easy, colorful, and delicious healthy roasted vegetables.

Stuffed Rainbow Peppers by Brynie Greisman

These peppers are not your typical stuffed peppers at all. This dish is loaded with a fabulous array of colors and textures. The sauce is seasoned to perfection and pulls the whole dish together. Serve with any meat, chicken, or fish supper.

Savory Sautéed Veggie Kugel by Jennifer Robins and Simone Miller

Most people think of kugels as being slightly sweet with egg noodles, and cinnamon. While that is one tasty preparation, there are certainly others! This one packs in lots of veggies and is perfect for a side dish, yet hearty enough for a meal. Take your pick!

Rainbow Rice by Esther Ottensoser

This gorgeous rice trifle is a real show-stopper and super easy to prepare! Perfect for Parshat Noach.

Lemon Roasted Cornish Hens with Baby Zucchini by Michal Frischman

If you love cooking and presenting a whole chicken, Cornish game hens are an even more elegant way to serve poultry. This is a super-simple recipe that you can serve plated for that real catered feel.

Light and Airy Marble Cake by Estee Kafra

This cake is one of our favorites. It’s fluffy, airy, and we love eating it on Shabbat morning with our coffee.
