The 9 days are upon us, and I think we could all use some quick meal inspiration! Lately, when I’m craving something quick, easy, and filling for lunch or dinner I’ve been turning to Amstelvelder Cheeses to perk up my meals on-the-go.

Amstelvelder gets its name from the Amstelveld square in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Amstelveld Square serves as a gathering place for local merchants – and, historically, Jewish merchants. Amstelvelder being produced in Holland, they offer a wide variety of authentic Dutch cheeses that range from Classic Gouda to a creamy Goat Chevre. The cheeses are packaged in convenient slices ready for you to build the sandwich of your dreams! All Amstelvelder Cheeses are gluten free, chalav Yisrael, and Passover-friendly all year round.

Having high-quality, convenient foods available is the key to eating well and sticking to your routine. These cheeses are great for sandwiches or toasts, grab-and-go snacks, and are perfect for making an easy lunch extra satisfying. Here are some great ways to use Amstelvelder Cheeses!

Kicked-Up Tuna Melt

Amstelvelder Classic Gouda is a creamy young cheese with a delicate flavor that pairs so well with tuna salad. Toast a slice of your favorite rye bread and top with tuna salad and slice of Classic Gouda. Add a fun topping like a spoonful of olive tapenade or roasted red peppers for a burst of briny flavor.

Spicy Cauliflower Toast

Make a hearty and filling taco-inspired toast with some roasted cauliflower and a slice of Amstelvelder Pepper Jack Poivre Noir, then add some pickled onions, salsa, avocado, or your favorite taco toppings. This semi-soft Pepper Jack cheese adds a buttery flavor with the perfect kick of spice. This would be yummy as a quesadilla, too!

Fancy Avocado Toast

Grab a slice of your favorite sourdough and spread with some smashed avocado, a drizzle of lemon juice, and a slice of Amstelvelder Muenster Cheese. Top with a fried egg and some chili flakes for a little zing! The mild flavor of muenster pairs well with fresh avocado and eggs for an elegant twist on a breakfast classic.

Summer Vegetable Tartine

Amstelvelder Goat Chevre is a soft and creamy white cheese made from 100% goat’s milk and adds that perfect amount of richness to your leftover vegetables. Layer a slice of Goat Chevre with leftover grilled eggplant, zucchini, and bell peppers on your favorite grainy wheat bread to make a filling and veggie-forward lunch. Add a spread like basil pesto for a pop of color and savory flavor.

Amstelvelder Cheeses provide such a wide variety of flavors and there are endless ways to make the vegetarian deli sandwich to satisfy your cravings. These cheeses are always in my fridge, and I turn to them every week to jazz up our meals and snacks. Grab a few packages of Amstelvelder Cheeses next time you’re at the grocery store, and I promise you won’t miss the meat this week!
