With the New Year just a day away, we thought it would be fun and interesting to look back on our top 10 dessert recipes from 2021.

To no surprise, you guys favored chocolate, peanut butter, no-bake, and super quick recipes. We can’t blame you, they’re our favorites too.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with any of the recipes below, we definitely encourage you to give them a try – they’re all winners. We hope you enjoy!

Here are our top 10 desserts of the year.

  1. 3-Ingredient No-Bake Cheesecake by Naomi Elberg

This easy no bake cheesecake will be delicious without any baking at all. What makes this one better than other no-bake cheesecake recipes, you ask? It has only 3 ingredients, and there’s no mixer needed! Like we said, literally the easiest cheesecake.

  2. Best Healthy Apple Crisp by Rorie Weisberg

This is one that will surprise you with its simplicity and its absolute deliciousness. I make it all year round. Best of all, it is sugar-and-potato-starch-free. Which is a good thing even if you’re not health-conscious, because potato starch can get boring after a while!

  3. Hot Chocolate Chip Pie with Ice Cream and Fudge from the Dining In Cookbook
Looking to spruce up your typical chocolate chip cookies? Try out this Hot Chocolate Chip Pie with Ice Cream and Fudge. The pie is chewy and warm, and the drizzle of hot fudge brings an extra chocolatey element, making this dessert out of this world!

  4. The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie by Estee Kafra
The perfect chocolate chip cookie… made with oil?? Not margarine? Couldn’t be. But it is. It rarely happens, but when it does, it makes me happy: a perfect recipe that tastes great, looks gorgeous, and is simple enough for my 12-year-old daughter to make by herself from start to finish. To my mind, that’s the perfect recipe.

  5. Smores Trifle by Victoria Dwek

When I tasted this dessert, I was back up in the mountains toasting ‘smores.

  6. Supreme Kokosh Cake from the Nitra Cookbook
Kokosh cake is the babka’s denser, richer, gooey-er cousin, another traditional pastry among Hungarian Jews. This recipe includes EIGHT filling variations, from chocolate, extra chocolate, and chocolate-walnut to raisin and cinnamon.

  7. Chocolate Chip Cake from the Nitra Cookbook
An easy recipe for classic chocolate chip cake.

  8. Coffee Peanut Butter Sheet Pan Dessert by Chanie Nayman
Coffee and peanut butter might not have been a match you would have made in your head, but I always wanted to try it in a dessert and this was amazing. The photo shoot team told me I’d better get the message across about how good it is!

  9. Chocolate-Peanut-Butter Pie by Brynie Greisman
This pie takes about 5 minutes to make and is very rich and luscious. I made it for Sukkot and everyone adored it. Chocolate and peanut butter are always a winning combo, and one of my favorites, unfortunately! The photographer thought it was heavenly!!!! A sliver of this satisfies anyone’s sweet tooth.

  10. Lotus Biscoff Cookie Butter Bars by Naomi Nachman
Watch the video here! These are one of my favorite easy treats to make. I make them in batches and put them in the freezer- you never know when someone’s going to pop around! During the Great Lotus Craze of 2016, everyone bought this awesome cookie butter by the case! Check out this super easy and delicious dessert that will make you fall in love with it all over again.
