Ingredients

  • 2 ½ lb. Roast or Brisket (Chuck eye roast)

  • 2 large onions diced

  • 3 cloves Garlic

  • Oil

  • Add: ½ cup water

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup ketchup

  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice

Directions

1.

In a large pot, sauté onion and garlic in a generous amount of oil, when onions are translucent, add roast and sear meat on each side for 8 minutes until browned.

Add: water, brown sugar, ketchup and lemon juice.

Lower flame and simmer for 2-3 hours.

note: this same recipe can be done in an oven without sautéing the onion, just place into large tin roaster with onions and garlic on bottom and bake 325 2-3 hours
