5 lbs flour
1 3/4 C sugar
3 T salt
4 eggs
1 c oil
yeast mixture:
4 c. warm water
2 T sugar
4 oz fresh yeast crumbled in
add dry ing. make a well and add wet ingredients.
combine yeast mixture and let sit no longer than 7 min. till puffy
add to remaining ing.
mix till doughy (abt 10 min) pref by hand
shmear oil and cover and let rise 1 1/2 hrs, braid, let rise again, egg, bake at 450 till crust starts to brown, then lower to 375 till done.
