Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats (use gluten-free if needed)

  • 3/4 cup halved almonds

  • 1/2 cup sweetened, shredded coconut

  • 1/2 cup raw cashews

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons Gefen Ground Allspice

  • 1 teaspoon Gefen Ground Cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) margarine (use soy-free if needed)

  • 2 tablespoons Gefen Honey

  • 1 cup (packed) pitted dates, chopped into thirds

Directions

Prepare the Granola

Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mix first seven ingredients in a large bowl. Melt margarine with honey in a small, heavy saucepan over low heat. Pour over granola mixture and toss well.

Spread mixture on baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add dates; mix to separate clumps. Continue baking until granola is golden brown, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes longer.

4.

Cool completely and store in airtight container.
