4 tablespoons butter
3 cups water
3 cups milk
1 lb. fettuccine, broken in half (raw)
3 teaspoons salt
1/2 c shredded Parmesan cheese
½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic; cook for 1 minute.
Add water, milk, fettuccine, and salt. Raise heat and bring to a boil.
Return heat to medium; simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often. Serve topped with Parmesan cheese.
TIP: Want to make a creamy pesto pasta? Add in a pack of frozen basil cubes during the last few minutes.
