This recipe was inspired by a recipe that was posted by Shauly’s Meat on Chanukah but it’s pretty much totally different.
1 onion
Oil for frying
1 package meal mart sliced pastrami-diced
1 package meal mart sliced beef fry-diced
approx. 1 lb. thin sliced finger meat
4 Tb. cornstarch
approx. 4 tsp. ready-made General Tzo’s sauce (I used Shauly’s)
approx. 4 tsp. barbecue sauce
approx. 4 tsp. soy sauce
Yossi’s flat panini pita
Spicy mayo (I used Goldberg’s)
Drizzle the finger meat with the cornstarch, then set aside.
In a frying pan, heat oil and fry the onions approx. 15 minutes until transparent. Add the diced pastrami, beef fry, General Tzo’s, barbecue sauce, and soy sauce. Let it fry for another few minutes, mixing occasionally.
Now preheat oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add the finger meat to the pan, lower heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
Put the Yossi’s flat panini in the oven for about 2 minutes, remove along with the meat mixture, and drizzle with spicy mayo.
