Onion and Mushroom Crepe Pie

Crepe batter

Cream Sauce

Start Cooking

Prepare Crepes

  1. Mix all crepe ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Spray a small six inch frying pan and heat over medium-to-high flame.

  3. Drop 1/2 cup batter into heated pan. 

  4. Spread batter evenly.

  5. When it looks dry, turn over and fry for a few seconds.

  6. Transfer crepe onto a prepared paper towel (lay each crepe separately — they should not overlap).

  7. Set aside (you should get six crepes).

Prepare Cream Sauce

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium-sized frying pan.

  2. Add onions and sauté for three minutes.

  3. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté an additional three minutes.

  4. Add remaining sauce ingredients.

  5. Bring to a boil and stir until thickened and smooth.

Assemble Pie

  1. Place one crepe in the center of a large round plate.

  2. Spread two heaping tablespoons creamy onion-mushroom mixture over the crepe.

  3. Place a second crepe on top of the mixture.

  4. Continue alternating crepes and creamy onion mushroom mixture, ending with the creamy onion-mushroom mixture.

  5. Serve warm.
