Orange chicken with a healthier twist!!
TIP: The arrowroot flour helps thicken the sauce to stick to the chicken, but you can skip this step for a quicker meal too!
Pairs well with: broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, bok choy, brussel sprouts.
1 pound chicken, diced
3 large oranges, juiced
2 tablespoons coconut aminos
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon arrowroot flour (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons ginger, minced
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
veggies of your choice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Season chicken with salt and garlic powder and saute for 4-5 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
Add the remaining ingredients and raise heat to high to bring sauce to a boil. Add the arrowroot flour and water to pan.
Stir in the chicken, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes. Add sesame seeds and optional scallions. Enjoy!
