Make the Soup

  1. Chop all the vegetables and toss into a pot. Add seasonings. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Simmer, covered, until all the vegetables are soft (about 45 minutes).
  3. Remove the bay leaf. Purée the soup and serve.

    I wouldn't. They are so tiny. It will melt with cooking.
