Prepare the Cake

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine the spelt flour, almond flour, baking powder, coconut sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Next, add in the eggs, honey, coconut oil and tea.
  4. Lastly mix in the chia seeds and almonds.
  5. Cut the fresh figs into circular slices and place them on the bottom of your pan. Pour the batter over the figs and bake for 45 minutes.
Note: For best presentation treat this cake as an upside-down cake, showing the fresh figs on the top.

    Pan Size?

    What size pan did you use to bake the cake? ALSO the recipe has a typo "silvered" almonds - should be "slivered"
