Spicy Chicken

This easy chicken dish has a great flavor combo, with just a bit of zip to top it off. Not too spicy for the kids, it pairs perfectly with creamed potatoes.

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 pounds chicken fingers or cutlets, cut into strips

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1/2 – 1 teaspoon hot paprika, or to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt

  • generous dash cumin

  • 2 large onions, sliced into rings

  • oil, for sautéing

  • Gefen Paprika

  • salt

Directions

Make the Chicken

1.

Combine marinade ingredients and mix with chicken fingers until fully coated. Allow to marinate 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a large frying pan over medium heat, sauté onion rings in oil until golden brown and soft.

Add chicken to pan and sauté until chicken is cooked through and insides are no longer pink. Sprinkle generously with paprika and stir to combine. Season to taste with salt. Remove from heat and serve.

Tips:

Take the time to caramelize the onions; it adds incredible flavor. 

Notes:

For those families who love that “burny” flavoring on everything, add additional chili powder, hot paprika, and cumin, until you achieve desired flavor.
