Diets I always loved my mother’s lokshen kugel. When I got married, it was the first recipe I asked her for. Who knew it was so simple to make? Follow the directions, and it’s a winner every time!
Yields 1 9×13-inch (23×33 centimeter) pan
4 and 1/2 cups water
1 cup Haddar Brown Sugar
1/3 cup oil, such as Gefen Canola Oil
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 ounces (340 grams) Gefen Fine Noodles
2 eggs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
Boil the water with sugar, oil, and spices. Then remove from heat and add the noodles. Let stand for 15 minutes.
Add eggs and mix. Pour into a 9×13-inch (23×33-centimeter) pan. Bake for one hour.
