1. preheat oil in pot chop vegetables cook vegetables for 10 minutes add nutmeg and stir
2. add the split pea stir until they and the vegetables are thoroughly coated in the oil
3. add the basil and the chicken soup and bring to a boil
4. add more water if you find the soup to thick
5. add the Frank’s and allow them to cook for 10 minutes.
6. bring down the heat and cook for an hour
