Small Wonders Bake Sale

Small Wonders touches the heart of many as they aim to support Canadian Jewish couples who are experiencing infertility. Small Wonders has grown from a small organization with a helpline, referral service and financial assistance to a larger support system that helps educate couples, conducts seminars, and provide services such as the help of local nurses. (See www.smallwonders.ca for more information.) Their big annual fundraising event, the Small Wonders Bake Sale, has been running strong for the last 11 years and continues to amaze. Women from all over Toronto contribute by baking one or two home-baked items, restaurants and caterers donate kosher-certified cakes and baked goods as well, spectacular floral arrangements are available for sale, and faithful volunteers help to package everything in beautiful uniform boxes. The event is the talk of the town. We have shared the recipes for some of the event's classic, most-requested baked goods! Enjoy!
