I started blogging in 2016 while in law school as a creative outlet; it was a way to combine my love of photography with my insatiable sweet tooth. Four years later (while still working as an attorney), my first cookbook, Even Better Brownies, made its way into the world. And two years after that, my second cookbook, Simple Small-Batch Baking, was released. (My third cookbook will be released in Spring 2025!) Now, I'm a licensed attorney who's left the practice of law to spend my days baking, writing, photographing, and even filming everything here on Mike Bakes NYC and my newsletter!
