Ruth Webber (1935-2025), born in Ostrowiec, Poland, survived Auschwitz and was liberated in 1945 after losing much of her family in the Holocaust. She later built a new life in North America, raising a family and sharing her story with schools and communities. She contributed to contributor to Honey Cake & Latkes: Recipes from the Old World by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Survivors.
