Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
Dredge the chicken in flour.
Combine hot honey, maple syrup, soy sauce, and garlic and rub it onto the skin. Top with the onions and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, if desired.
Place the pan on the lower rack in the oven and bake for one hour and 20 minutes, uncovered.

This recipe works well with any chicken with skin. If you make it with capons, bake for 45–50
minutes.

Hi! It helps the coating stick, you could use any starch as a substitute if that works better for you.
