It’s the perfect time to plan some non-food-related fun for Passover. One of our favorite ways to bond and bring some lighthearted competition to the table is with board games! Whether you’re looking for something strategic, creative, or just plain silly, board games are the perfect way to pass the time and create lasting memories.

We asked our staff to share their all-time favorite board games for Yom Tov—and we’ve got a list that’s sure to have something for everyone.

Let the games begin!

Goldy Guttman (Kosherdotcom Director):

Catan Junior

Catan Jr is great and faster than the regular version.

Rush Hour

Rush Hour is such a great one-person game, if you want some quiet time in the afternoon.

Jenga

And Jenga, of course, is a classic!

Chanie Nayman (Kosherdotcom Editor-in-Chief):

Dixit

Dixit is a favorite here.

Fort Building Kit

Another favorite with all ages but especially my 7-year-old son.

Leah Gottheim (Kosherdotcom VP):

Taco vs. Burrito

It’s a weird game, but fun, and we’ve gotten a lot of use from it.  I’d say ages 5+. (Pre-readers can play once you teach them what each card does, they can recognize the pictures.)

Match the Mitzvah

A classic for younger kids. Lots of nostalgia.

Rachel Kor (Kosherdotcom Lifestyle Editor):

Ticket to Ride

Codenames

Word a Round

Renee Schwartz (Kosherdotcom Recipe Editor):

Rummykub

A classic that we enjoy every time.

Machi Koro

Splendor

(And assorted expansions.)

Scrabble Slam

Jumpin’ Monkeys

Loads of giggles for preschoolers.

Guess Who?

Another great game for preschoolers. This version is double-sided; the front is classic Guess Who? and on the flip side, each character gets a super hero makeover!

Nechami Goldman (Kosherdotcom Video Producer):

Spot It!

My siblings can play this for hours! (They’re much better than me at it.) They have many versions of this game, even Jewish-themed ones.

Speak Out

You need the right group of people to play this with.

Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza

Kids younger than 7 can play, too!
