Submitted by bas3183   Spelt water challah (made without eggs).

Ingredients

Challah

  • 14 cups spelt flour

  • 2 ounces fresh yeast

  • 1 1/4 cup oil

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 4 cups seltzer

  • 2 tablespoons salt

Directions

Prepare the Challah

1.

Put everything besides the salt into the mixing bowl.

2.

Mix everything together for 2 minutes then add the salt.

3.

Mix for an additional 10-15 minutes.

4.

Let rise for 1 1/2 hours. Shape.

5.

Bake on 390 for 20 minutes.
