Festive and on theme, these jumbo cookies are stuffed with chocolate and a depth of flavor from the browned butter.
1/2 cup butter or margarine, cut into chunks
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 and 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup of chocolate chunks
6 chocolate coins (dairy or parve), to top
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a pot, brown the butter by stirring constantly until it turns a light tan color. Remove to a separate bowl to stop the cooking process and set aside to cool about 10 minutes.
Once cooled, combine with sugars and egg. Whisk well to combine.
Add in the rest of the ingredients.
Scoop out dough by the handful and form it into balls. Place on a lined baking sheet. Top each with a chocolate coin. Bake on 350 degrees Fahrenheit for nine minutes.
Let cool for 15 minutes before eating. It’s important you wait because this makes them super chewy too!

Rly good cookies. Needed baking longer – like 13 minutes. Also cut down sugar because seemed a lot, still tasted great. Wait till marge stops bubbling before transferring to another pot – hot fat splashes.
