Diets 1 (16-ounce) box Tuscanini Penne
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 small shallots, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced or 2 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
1 (8-ounce) package mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons sweet teriyaki sauce (sweet sushi sauce is a good substitute)
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Tuscanini Parmesan Cheese, plus more for serving
Cook pasta according to package directions. Transfer to a large bowl and set aside.
In a frying pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add shallots and sauté until translucent. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add sliced mushrooms, reduce heat to low, and sauté two minutes.
Add teriyaki sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well to combine.
Add heavy cream and mix well, then bring to a gentle simmer.
Add Parmesan and mix well until melted.
Add sauce to the pasta and toss to coat. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan and serve immediately.
