Ingredients

Deep-Dish Vodka Ricotta Pizza

  • 2 pounds (910 grams) ready-made pizza dough, homemade or store-bought

  • 1/2 14.5-ounce (410-gram) jar Tuscanini Vodka Sauce

  • 5 heaping tablespoons ricotta cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend

  • 2 tablespoons grated Tuscanini Parmesan

  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, cut into ribbons

  • good-quality olive oil, for drizzling

  • additional basil ribbons, for garnish

Directions

1.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).

2.

Lightly grease an 11×16-inch (28×40-centimeter) nonstick baking pan or line it with parchment paper. Press the pizza dough evenly into the pan, bringing the dough slightly up the sides to create a crust. Using a fork, poke holes throughout the dough.

3.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the crust is lightly parbaked and beginning to turn golden.

4.

Remove pan from the oven and spread vodka sauce evenly over the dough. Dollop the ricotta cheese in several spots across the crust. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar blend over the remaining surface, avoiding the ricotta mounds. Top with Parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper flakes, and basil ribbons.

5.

Return pizza to the oven and bake for about 20 minutes more, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.

6.

Remove from the oven and drizzle with good-quality olive oil. Garnish with additional fresh basil ribbons. Transfer to a cutting board, slice into squares, and serve.
