This is a fall version of my favorite summer dessert. Apples, pears, and plums are all in season now, and this is one of the best ways to enjoy them!
10 unpeeled sugar or Hungarian plums, stoned and thinly sliced
4 unpeeled Macintosh apples, thinly sliced
4 unpeeled Bartlett pears, thinly sliced
1/2 cup Gefen Confectioners’ Sugar
3 tablespoons Gefen Vanilla Sugar
2 teaspoons Gefen Cinnamon
squeeze of freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 cup plus 5 tablespoons Mishpacha Flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon Haddar Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted margarine
2 tablespoons oil
1 egg
1/4 cup orange juice
zest of 1 lemon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
Mix all filling ingredients and pour into a large baking dish or individual ramekins.
In a mixer, mix all topping ingredients. With an ice cream scoop, scoop dough and place over the fruit mixture, evenly covering the surface.
Bake for 45 minutes. Enjoy warm!
