Bolognese sauce quickly and easily turns a bland box of pasta into a nutritious supper.
1 box pasta of your choice, such as Tuscanini Penne Pasta (use gluten-free if desired, or serve bolognese sauce over rice)
1 onion, halved
1 and 1/2 pounds ground meat
1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
1/2 teaspoon pepper, to taste
1/2 teaspoon turmeric, to taste
Gefen Olive Oil, for sautéing
pepper
1/4 cup hot water (about)
1/2 jar Gefen Marinara Sauce
Cook the pasta as directed on the box.
Meanwhile, blend up one half of the onion. Marinate ground meat with the onion, salt, pepper and turmeric.
Dice up the other half of the onion. Sauté with olive oil and additional black pepper in a pot. Once the onions are translucent, add in the meat along with hot water (maybe more or less depending on how thick or thin you like it). Cook on medium heat for around 20 minutes.
Once the meat is cooked, add in marinara sauce. Cook for five to 10 minutes more.
Serve over the pasta as pictured. Enjoy!
