Go horizontal and update your typical salad trifle by using a wide flat bowl to create artistic patterns with your fruits and veggies.
2 pounds (900 grams) salad greens
1 can mandarin oranges
2 mangos, diced
1 pint blueberries
1/4 a purple onion
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/3 cup vinegar (use distilled if gluten is a concern)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup oil
Place salad greens in bowl.
Arrange your fruit in neat columns on top of the greens, alternating colors and sizes. (see photo)
Prepare the dressing: Blend all dressing ingredients. Pour on salad immediately before serving.
