What’s for supper tonight? Try skillet-browned ground beef with celery, mushrooms, carrots, and peppers.
1 green pepper, cut into one-inch strips
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
1 cup Manischewitz Chicken Broth or water
3 teaspoons Gefen Cornstarch, divided
1 clove garlic, minced or 1 cube Gefen Frozen Garlic
1 pound ground beef
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 scallions, chopped
4 tablespoons Glicks Soy Sauce, divided
3 carrots, thinly sliced
Mix ground beef with one teaspoon cornstarch, garlic, paprika, and two tablespoons soy sauce. Set aside for 15 minutes.
Heat skillet, add oil. Place all vegetables and salt into skillet. Stir-fry for three to five minutes until crisp. Remove vegetables and set aside.
Place beef mixture into skillet and stir-fry for five to seven minutes until cooked. Add vegetables.
Mix two teaspoons cornstarch, two tablespoons soy sauce, broth, and pepper and add to skillet. Cook until thickened, about three to five minutes.
