Strawberry Sorbet

Non-dairy sorbet is a light and easy dessert option. Easy to make and easy to make ahead. 

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 pint ripe strawberries, or 1 pound frozen strawberries, blended

  • 2 eggs, separated

  • 1/2 – 1 cup sugar

  • juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 1 cup water (optional)

  • few drops strawberry extract (optional)

Directions

Prepare the Strawberry Sorbet

1.

Mash strawberries.

2.

Beat strawberries and egg whites at low speed until frothy, approximately 10 minutes. 

3.

Increase speed to medium and beat until soft peaks form. 

4.

Gradually add remaining ingredients. Beat only until combined. 

5.

Freeze until ready to serve.

Do I put also the yolks inside?

Hi this recipe only used the egg whites!
