I know how much everyone loved the last tic-tac-toe plate from the 2013 Simchah issue. So here we are with tic-tac-toe plate 2.0!
chives or scallions (you can also use cucumber peels), checked
3/4 – 1-inch (2-centimeter) cubes of salmon, prepared with your favorite recipe (may we suggest Brynie Greisman’s Super Salmon?)
homemade 3/4—1-inch (2-centimeter) croutons (use a whole loaf of bread from the bakery or a large baguette to get large croutons)
salad greens
purple carrot slices, cut on an angle
watermelon radish, cut into sticks (I used a mandoline)
Chrainaise in a squeeze bottle
Place four chives or scallions on a plate in a tic-tac-toe pattern.
Arrange salmon and crouton cubes in the boxes.
Squeeze a little chrainaise onto each crouton right before serving.
Decorate the plate with salad greens, purple carrot slices, and watermelon radish sticks.
