im obsessed!!!!
this was AMAZING!!!
i would love to know how long this actually took in real life and what malkys house looked like inside at the end of all of this……!
cant wait to see your bonus episode shulamis!!
The garage looks beautiful and this was a truly enjoyable show! Thank you shulamis and malky! I’m so happy we could submit questions because I’m struggling with the open bins style in the garage. I get that you wanted the stuff to be accessible but won’t the open bins cause the food containers, plastic cups etc to collect dust easily? Especially in a garage setting.. Also, is there a reason why the space under the window wasn’t utilized with shelving – is there a plan for that space?
Great question! Shulamis covers different bin options in the bonus episode!
As for under the window, Malky has plans… a bench to sit, relax, and fully take in the nachas of her newly organized space.😉
If the food containers & plastic cups are constantly being used & replenished they shouldn’t collect dust from being kept in the open bins
love the transformation!
Thank you for a fantastic and useful episode!
I loved it!
I have a few (technical) questions:
– Was it really not the original plan to do the garage?
– I was also curious to see what has changed in the kitchen.
– The distance between the shelves is bigger than the height of the boxes. Why isn’t the distance smaller so another shelf could fit?
– Personally, I wouldn’t want the mixer and microwave to be in the garage. Aren’t those heavy appliances to carry to the kitchen each time?
– Where is the living tree? Did you throw it away?
Some of your questions will be covered in the bonus episode and an upcoming behind the scenes article!
Malkie’s garage is right off her kitchen, so it made sense to keep appliances that aren’t used daily close by. But you’re right, that kind of decision is definitely personal!
And the tree costume made its way to the basement, where it belonged all along 🙂
I’ve heard numerous times from another home organizer (Yael Wiesner) that we have to look at our cabinets, shelves, etc as cupcakes. Meaning when baking cupcakes, you only fill up the holders with batter 2/3 to 3/4 of the way. Otherwise the batter will overflow & get all over the place in the oven. Same thing with shelves, cabinets, etc. They look so much neater & are much more functional when filled up to 2/3 to 3/4 of the way. It seemed like Shulamis had this way of thinking as well & that’s why she organized the shelves the way she did.
Stay tuned … more coming where many of technical questions will be answered
Shulamis, You’re amazing!! What you did was just mind blowing🤯! And thanks Malky for your house😉! I was wondering, how is the garage supposed to stay this beautiful with all the kids running in and out and obvs taking stuff themselves… I mean, the extension wires aren’t gonna stay that neat, they’re wires!
Regarding the extension cords: they may not stay neat, but at least they have a place to be contained, and easily found & located when needed
wow this is stunning! incredible job Shulamis, you kept real calm under intense pressure!
Humor helps 🙂

wow! This is so beautiful, loved this show!
loved loved this show! and Shulamis did such a gorgeous job! Brilliant idea of creating a mudroom in the garage! Also wondering how much such a project would cost.
We agree!
See comment below for project costs
Where does she keep her sukka?
She has a shed in her backyard
This is amazing, it would be helpful to know how much such such a project cost?
Every garage project will vary.
Demolition can cost a few hundred dollars, though you can absolutely do that step yourself on a budget.
Custom shelving can run into the thousands, but more affordable options are available, including basic shelving units at local discount stores and on Amazon for under $100 such as this piece: https://amzn.to/48g6hkc
If you’re hiring an organizer, that would be an additional cost depending on who you work with.
For bins and products, Shulamis shared the links to what she used in this handy article https://www.kosher.com/article/kitchen-ambush-season-2-finale-shop-the-episode-here/ or you can buy similar items at local discount stores.
Hope that helps!
