Prepare the Lotus Twists

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry.

  3. Smear the lotus cream on the dough, leaving half an inch around the edges. Sprinkle the lotus crunch over the cream.

  4. Fold over the dough, hamburger style, and pinch the edges together. Using a knife or pizza roller, cut one-and-a-half-inch strips.

  5. Twist each strip twice and roll it into a circle. Place a toothpick at the edge to hold it together.

  6. Brush the dough with the egg.

  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes.

Prepare the Tea

  1. Push 10 cloves into each orange at random.

  2. Slice the oranges.

  3. In a pot, add the apple cider, cranberry juice, and sliced oranges. Bring to a boil and then lower the flame. Allow to simmer for five to seven minutes.

  4. Serve warm with a cinnamon stick.
