When it comes to setting a Yom Tov table, it can be rough to choose between practical and beautiful- a perpetual tug-of-war…  But no longer! Find out how you can avoid compromise. Here goes some easy-to-do, showstopping elegance

We’ve pulled together five magnificent and unique styles for you, using exclusively disposable tableware; making cleanup easy as pie! Go ahead and set the one you like best, mix and match for your own look, or try all five!

The plasticware used in these settings is available at wholesale prices on ezpartyusa.com or in smaller quantities at your local grocery.

We’ll start with this breathtaking spring paradise.

Spring Paradise

The raw wood table practically shouts spring! Don’t have a wood tabletop? No biggie. You can achieve a similar effect with a wood printed tablecloth from Amazon. Our whitewashed base was asking for a hint of green, so we folded a cloth to form a runner and that was taken care of. You can buy any fabric you like off the bolt and do the same. The modern-looking plates deliver just the right amount of class, and the intricate cutlery collection complements them like nothing else can! We thought the fringed napkins added a lovely vintage touch, so we folded them in thirds and placed one beneath each plate. White stemmed goblets at each setting were a no-brainer, they practically look like they were created for this scape! Finish off the look with some soft pink florals, and you’re all set! Literally.

On to a BOLD scape for those of us who like a bit of drama.

Bold Black

Gotta say, that pop of pink is pretty impressive. And it didn’t take more than some humble tulips to do the job. Black and white is the way to go when you want to make a statement. Begin with a clean, white cloth (a liner works too) and accent it with a decorative runner- we used burlap because we thought it looked super cool with the greens. The stark black napkins and plates flanked by the two-toned cutlery set the stage for some handsome contrast. Place cards are always a great way to further implement color schemes and take things up a notch- we ordered chalkboard stickers and simply placed them on cardstock to create these adorable minis. As far as drinkware, those sleek black cups were the inspiration for this whole table!

Care for something more traditional? Here it is!

Traditional Gold

Bottom line is, there’s nothing like the good old classic white and gold. We threw in hints of some other warm tones (note the tablecloth- a Joann special) to create this familiar, yet artistic Yom Tov table. Those square plates look just like authentic Lenox. Wrap a nice cloth napkin around the dinner plate, and you’re in business! We selected a timeless gold set of flatware, sticking to the traditional theme, and an elegant smoked glass to add some flair. Baby’s breath is a great go to when you want the flowers to be present but low-key.

Navy is a wonderful thing; conservative, but not black.

Blue Rustic

That’s why we fell in love with those incredible little jars, now neatly aligned down the center of our table. The modern navy plates fit right in with this trendy-but-traditional option. Two-tone cutlery won again, this time in white and gold, with coordinating cups. Rugged burlap runners and canvas napkins lend a rustic aura that makes this table so…. lovable! Remember what we said about baby’s breath? It rings true here too, my friend! The place cards for this scape were simple as can be- all you need is some white cardstock and a gold marker. Drop a sprig of baby’s breath on each plate and it looks like you’ve been planning this for months. We won’t tell if you don’t.

And finally… some blossoming beauty! It is that time of year after all.

Blossoming Beauty

What do you say to some vibrant floral arrangements in celebration of a flowering world?? Not a bad idea.

Something to keep in mind: clear glass vases allow the beautiful green of the flower stems to be seen and add lots to a scape low on vibrance. Candlesticks are always romantic, so we set a few of those between the small vases. We used a wood tabletop to achieve an outdoorsy feel, with a runner for some dimension and structure- we go for natural, but let’s steer clear of the wild weed look! We chose the plate for its springy print and threw in the chargers because… disposable chargers? We just couldn’t resist. Nice, clean black cutlery and stemware finished off these settings, and we’re lovin’ the end result!
