This is Babi M’s famous cheesecake that was and still is served at her Shvuos Kiddush. It’s been passed on ke”h to three generations and it still gets rave reviews
1 package flaky dough (Mechel’s Old Fashion)
2 pounds Farmer Cheese ( JJ )
1 pound cottage cheese (I like to use 8 oz cottage and 8 oz whip cream cheese)
1 vanilla sugar
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup flour
5 tablespoons lemon juice
3 cups sugar (add at the last minute)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. This recipe is good for one 10- by 16-inch pan.
Defrost dough and roll out larger half. Line pan with this dough.
Roll out other half and cut 1/2-inch strips. Set aside.
Prepare filling, pour into pan over the dough, top with cut strips by creating crisscross design, leaving open spaces of cheese filling (see photo).
Brush with beaten egg. Bake 1 to 1 and 1/4 hours till golden. Cool. Cut up while cool. Triple wrap and freeze. Defrost slightly to cut squares

An amazing recipe. I made the filling in a springform pan and the rest graham cracker pie crust. I spilled caramel on top and it was an amazing hit. Thanks
