Diets 2 cups Glicks Flour
4 teaspoons Haddar Baking Powder
2 tablespoons sugar
2 large eggs, divided
2 cups milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
blue food coloring (I like to use gel for a bold color)
1 chocolate bar, broken into rectangle pieces
silver edible glitter spray, if desired
icing (optional)
Preheat waffle iron.
In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Separate your yolks into a large bowl, and your egg whites into a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until combined.
Whip the egg whites for two to three minutes (I used an electric hand mixer on medium speed) until stiff peaks form. Fold the whipped egg whites into the waffle batter with a spatula. Add in a few drops of food coloring and gently fold it in.
Grease the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray and pour batter into the iron. Cook according to waffle irons instructions. Place one triangle of the waffle upside down. Place the piece of chocolate on top or attach with cookie icing. Spray with edible glitter spray.
