Diets Comfort food just got a whole lot more interesting! Spaghetti with a delicious combination of a flavorful sauce and a blanket of melted cheesy goodness.
Our Spaghetti Lasagna is a cheesy pasta lover’s dream come true!
1 pound Tuscanini Spaghetti, cooked and drained
3 tablespoons butter
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped or 2 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
1 large beef tomato, chopped
1 15 ounce can Gefen Tomato Sauce
3 tablespoons Tuscanini Tomato Paste
3 tablespoons sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon oregano
1/3 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 and 1/2 cups pizza cheese
15 slices American cheese
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped onions and garlic, and sauté for 10-20 minutes.
Add the rest of the sauce ingredients and mix well.
Let simmer for 15 minutes until the cheese is fully melted. Add the cooked spaghetti and mix well. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add the spaghetti mixture into a 9×13 greased baking dish. Top with American cheese slices. (Cover it really well, even put a double layer ).
Bake for 30 minutes, the cheese on top should be lightly golden.
