Diets This wild rice is a delicious and no-fuss side dish to serve alongside any fish or meat. The recipe yields a large amount, so scale down if you need to.
4 (6-ounce) packages wild rice
8 cups long-grain white rice
1 and 1/2 cups oil
12 large onions, diced
12 stalks celery, diced
3 red peppers, diced
3 yellow peppers, diced
1 cup water
2 tablespoons salt
1 teaspoon Gefen Garlic Powder
Cook each rice separately according to package directions. Cool thoroughly before combining.
In a large pot, sauté the vegetables in oil for half an hour. Add remaining ingredients and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
Combine vegetables with rice and serve.
